Recipient of Distinguished University Teaching Award from Mannes College in 1995. Solo appearances with New York Philharmonic and Los Angeles, Pittsburgh, and San Francisco Symphonies. Premieres include concerti by Krzysztof Penderecki, Chen Yi (1999), David Ott (2000), Behzad Ranjbaran (2001), and Peter Schickele (2001). Appearances on CBC, CBS, and PBS. Chamber music performances at Aspen and Marlboro Festivals. Author of articles for American String Teacher, Journal of the Conductors' Guild, Strings, and Strad. Editor of premiere publication of autographed version of Tchaikovsky's Variations on a Rococo Theme (Kalmus, 1998). Artistic director of New Heritage Music. Lecturer in music at Harvard University and for New York Philharmonic. Former faculty, New England Conservatory, Rutgers University, San Francisco Conservatory, and University of California at Berkeley. Cello faculty, Mannes College The New School for Music, since 1973.
