A native of South Korea, and a real child prodigy, Heeyeon Cho was invited to study at the Purcell School in UK on Mrs Lyell Scholarship. She has been one of the best ever students at the school.
Heeyeon is an exceptionally gifted young musician, with rare and outstanding talent. Despite her young age, Hee Yeon has already appeared in many concert halls in Korea, New Zealand, UK, Austra and Belgium .
She has already been the winner at the Liezen International Cello Competition in Austria. Heeyeon won Classical Concerto Competition at the School, and as a result has performed Haydn D major Concerto with the school orchestra.
In 2007 she performed Saint-Saens’ Cello Concerto with professional orchestra in UK.
She has been awarded The Education Award from the Musicians Benevolent Fund for her achievements.
