Mark Eeles is a cellist whose playing career has taken him through Canada, the United States and Europe, and has included studying at the Juilliard School in New York City with Harvey Shapiro and the Royal Academy of Music in England with Florence Hooton. He holds a Masters of Music Degree from the University of Alberta where he studied with renowned cellist and teacher, Claude Kenneson. In 1986, Mark returned to New York to participate in the Naumburg International Cello Competition. After a number of years living in the Chicago area as an instructor at Wheaton College, Mark returned to Edmonton, Canada where he is the cello teacher at King’s University College and a very active Suzuki teacher with the Society for Talent Education of Edmonton. Mark is very active as a performer in the Edmonton area and owns a freelance music business called “Dolce Melodia.” |
