Young promising cellist from Athens, Fernando Nina started playing cello at the age of four with his father who was his first teacher and is a professional cellist. As a child prodigy he started at a very young age performing in front of the public and gave lots of concerts all around Greece. He graduated at the age of 17 from the Lamia Conservatory in Greece with an excellent degree diploma. He has won a lot of prizes at important national and international competitions. Some of them are the first prize at the National Greek and Cypriot "Filon" competition in Athens and second prize at the Leopold Bellan competition in Paris. He studied with professor Reiner Ginzel in Hochschule fur Musik und Theater in Munich and continues his studies in Utrecht Conservatory with the well known cellist Timora Rosler, in the Netherlands. Fernando plays on a German J. Rubner cello.
