Born into a family of musicians from Amsterdam, Jeroen Reuling began his cello studies with Jean Decroos. He went on to study with André Navarra at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik in Detmold, Germany, and soon became his assistant. In 1981, Reuling passed the Konzertexamen and completed his studies with Pierre Fournier in Geneva.
Following his debut at the Concertgebouw with the Amsterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, Reuling appeared regularly with other Dutch orchestras, under the direction of such conductors as Vernon Handley, Yehudi Menuhin, and Roberto Benzi. He made numerous recordings for radio and television, and in 1983 received the ‘Audience Award’ from the Sonesta Koepelzaal in Amsterdam. Reuling performed throughout Europe, and in Asia, where he made his Hong Kong debut in 1985 with the Dvorak Cello Concerto.
From 1983 to 2004, Jeroen Reuling was principal cellist with the Arnhem Philharmonic Orchestra, and now divides his passion for the cello between teaching and chamber music. He is Professor of Cello at the Royal Conservatoire of Brussels and the ARTEZ Institute of the Arts in the Netherlands. From october 2011 he will be professor at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel.
He has held masterclasses all over the world, including Arezzo, Florence, Dublin, Budapest,Courchevel, Leuven, Dordrecht (Cello Festival), Lodz, Morges (Switzerland), Geneva, Oslo, Portugal, South Korea, Morrocco, and at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Since 1995, Jeroen Reuling has given annual masterclasses and concerts at the Rencontres Musicales Internationales in Enghien, near Brussels. He is Artistic Director of the Schiermonnikoog International Chamber Music Festival in the Netherlands, and is frequently invited to participate in various chamber music projects. Recently, he toured Japan with A.R. El Bacha, Philippe Graffin, Yuzuko Horigome and Roger Chase.

Issu d'une famille de musiciens d'Amsterdam, Jeroen Reuling commence à étudier le violoncelle avec Jean Decroos. Il est bientôt admis dans la classe du grand professeur André Navarra dont il devient rapidement l'assistant à la Staatliche Hochschule für Musik de Detmold (Allemagne). Il en sort avec succès en obtenant son "Konzertexamen"en 1981 et parachève sa formation avec Pierre Fournier à Genève.
Après ses débuts dans la Grande Salle du Concertgebouw d'Amsterdam avec l'Orchestre Philharmonique, il joue régulièrement avec d'autres orchestres néerlandais, ainsi qu'a la radio et la télévision, notamment
sous la direction de chef tels que Vernon Handley, Yehudi Menuhin and Roberto Benzi.
En 1982 il reçoit le Prix du public de la « Sonesta Koepelzaal » à Amsterdam.
Bientôt ses concerts l'emmènent dans la plupart des autre pays européens, ainsi qu'en Asie ou il débute en 1985 à Hong Kong avec le concerto de Dvorak.

Il est invité régulièrement de part le monde a donner des de master classes notamment à Arezzo, Florence, Dublin, Budapest, Louvain et Dordrecht (Festival de violoncelle), Lodz, à l'université de Caroline du Nord, Morges (Suisse), Oslo, Genève, Portugal, Corée du Sud , Chine et au Maroc.
En 2005 il a reçu le Prix “Madame de La Hault” du patrimoine du Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles pour son enseignement excellent
Depuis 1995, Jeroen Reuling enseigne et donne des concerts chaque
années aux Rencontres Musicales Internationales d’Enghien près de Bruxelles. Il est Directeur artistique du Festival International de Musique de Chambre à Schiermonnikoog, Pays-Bas et est régulièrement invité par ses pairs a jouer dans divers projet de musique de chambre. Il a participé a une tournée au Japon avec A.R El Bacha, Philippe Graffin, Yuzuko Horigome et Roger Chase. Récemment il était en Chine pour des concerts et des master class.Il a enregistré pour les compagnies de disques Naxos, Ottavio ainsi que Cobra.

Afkomstig uit een muzikale familie begon Jeroen Reuling zijn cellostudie bij Jean Decroos. Vervolgens was hij leerling bij André Navarra aan de “Staatliche Hochschule für Musik” in Detmold(Duitsland). Al gauw werd hij benoemd tot diens assistent. In 1981 behaalde Jeroen Reuling met succes het “Konzertexamen”, waarna hij zijn studie afrondde bij Pierre Fournier in Genève. Na zijn debuut in de Grote Zaal van het Concertgebouw met het Amsterdams Philharmonisch Orkest, volgden er regelmatig optredens met andere orkesten in Nederland, onder leiding van o.a. Vernon Handley, Yehudi Menuhin, en Roberto Benzi.
Radio en televisie registreerden zijn spel vele malen en in 1983 ontving hij de ‘Publieksprijs’ van de Sonesta Koepelzaal in Amsterdam. Reuling trad op in veel landen van Europa tot Azië, waar hij in 1985 debuteerde in Hong Kong met het celloconcert van Dvorak.
Van 1983 tot en met 2004 was Jeroen solocellist van het Gelders Orkest. Sindsdien verdeelt hij zijn passie voor de cello tussen het lesgeven en de kamermuziek. Hij is zowel docent aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium van Brussel als aan de Hogeschool voor de Kunsten ARTEZ in Nederland.
Vanaf het seizoen 2011-2012 is hij ook verbonden aan de Muziekkapel Koningin Elisabeth.

Urodzony w rodzinie muzyków z Amsterdamu Jeroen Reuling rozpoczął naukę gry na wiolonczeli u Jeana Decroosa. Naukę kontynuował podczas studiów w Staatliche Hochschule für Musik w Detmold, Niemcy, u André Navarry i wktrótce został jego asystentem. W 1981r.
