Omar Bayramov was born in June 3rd, 1982 in Mariupol, Ukraine. He Started his musical education at the age of 12 with M.S.Geister. In 1996 took the second prize at the republican competition of young musicians in Donetsk, Ukraine. In 1998 he became a student of the Saint-Petersburg Music College where he studied with Lev Fishkov.
In 2003 he entered the Saint-Petersburg State Conservatory where he studied with Anatoly Nikitin and Svyatoslav Zagursky. In March 2009 he was accepted as one of three cello students at the International Menuhin Music Academy. There he started a three year course under Frans Helmerson.
Mr. Bayramov has had an extensive orchestral experience, being a member of several professional orchestras in Russia: solo cellist of the St.-Petersburg State Theater of Opera and Ballet (2005 - 2009). Saint-Petersburg State Academic Capella (2007 - 2008), Saint-Petersburg Mussorgsky Opera and Ballet House (2008 - 2009), Saint-Petersburg State Academic Symphony Orchestra (2002 – 2007) where he was also cello solo. Since 2002 he was solo cellist in the "Saint-Petersburg Orchestra BALTICA". From 2006 – 2009 he was soloist of the Russian Ensemble of Ancient Music “Musica Antiqua Russica”. Since 2010 - solo cellist in "Soloists of Catherine the Great" ensemble. In 2000 he participated in the "International Festival Peter the Grote" in Groningen, The Netherlands (solo cello and chamber ensembles, 2000). He is a Laureate of the International Competition in Marseille (cello, France 2001). In 2001 he won the Rachmaninov International Competition (Chamber ensembles, St.-Petersburg 2001). He was also the winner of two prizes at the Gartov's Foundation Competition where he also won the special prize for the best performance of a Haydn composition (chamber ensembles, St.-Petersburg 2004). He is a Laureate of Maria Yudina International competition (St.-Petersburg 2006).
Mr. Bayramov has performed with a number of musical personalities such as Mstislav Rostropovich, Elena Obraztsova, Monserrat Caballe, Zurab Sotkilava, Jose Cura, Renee Fleming, Angela Gheorghiu, Polina Osetinskaya, Ivan Monighetti, Ilya Ioff, Vladimir Shuliakovsky, Felix Spengler, Ben Park, Leonid Gorokhov, Federico Mondelchi, Andrew Balio, Victor Tretiakov, Irina Bogacheva, Grigory Voskoboynik, Ken Hansley, Vsevolod Gakkel, Smokie, Vermicelli Orchetra, Electric Light Orchestra.
