Been born in 1986 in Saint Petersburg, Russia in family of musicians. Began his cello studies at six years old without neglecting the piano lessons that he started at four. Vladimir was educated at the Rimsky-Korsakov Special Music School of Saint Petersburg Conservatory, where he studied with Anatoly Nikitin (Principal Cello of Leningrad Philharmonic Orchestra), Tchaikovsky Special Music School of Moscow Conservatory with Alexei Seleznev and since two years in State Classical Musical Jewish Academy of Moscow with Alla Vasiljeva (First Cello of Moscow Chamber Orchestra).Simultaneously in master classes and private lessons with Mstislav Rostropovich (Saint Petersburg),Natalya Shakhovskaya (Moscow), Siegfried Palm (Berlin) and Pieter Wispelwey (Amsterdam). In Saint Petersburg Vladimir has graduated also as a composer where his mentor was Aleksandr Mnatzakhanian, disciple of Dmitri Shostakovich. The Vladimir´s compositions and arrangements were performed by Mexico City Quartet, Stravinsky String Quartet and Saint Petersburg Cello Ensemble in Germany, Russia and United States.

Mr. Sagaido is prizewinner of Dotzauer International Cello Competition in Dresden (1998), “New Names” International Competition in Moscow (2000), Kichompre International Competition, France (2002), and “Gartow Stiftung” International Chamber Music Competition in Saint Petersburg (2004). As pianist Vladimir won a “Gran Pri” and First Prize in “Duettino” National Competition of Russia (2002). Also is participant of different International Festivals like “Second World Cello Congress of Rostropovich” in Saint Petersburg (1997), The Arolsen Festival, Germany (1998), “Youth Euro Classics”, Berlin (2003), “Viva Vivaldi” Baroque Festival, Mexico City (2004-07), Musica del Mar, Huatulco (2006).

Vladimir makes his solo debut at 12 years old performed Haydn, Saen-Saens and Vivaldi cello concertos with Saint Petersburg Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra and Saint Petersburg State Symphony Orchestra (Aleksandr Sladkovsky and Tugan Sokhiev as conductors). Since 2000 Vladimir was regularly invited to play in Mexico City as soloist with San Luis Potosi Symphony Orchestra, Mexico City Symphony Orchestra, UNAM Philharmonic Orchestra and Mexican Sinfonietta he performed the following cello coincertos: Haydn (2000), Saen-Saens (2001), Shostakovich (2002), Boccherini (2003), Tchaikovsky Rococo (2004), Bloch Sholomo and Bruch Kol Nidrei (2005), Schuman (2006).

Mr. Sagaido regularly makes tours in Germany and Russia also he has played in Poland, France, Spain and Latin America. His partners are conductors Gabriel Chmura, Jose Miramontes and Emmanuel Siffert, violinists Nicolas Koeckert, Mikhail Gantvarg and Ekaterina Frolova, pianists Irina Ryumina, Kristina Miller, Evgeny Krushevsky and Eugeny Brakhman and Mexico City Quartet.
Mr. Sagaido has played in the most important halls like Grand and Small Halls of Shostakovich Philharmonic, Grand Hall of Konzerthaus Berlin, Small Hall of Moscow Conservatory, Mexican National Auditorium and Nezahualcoyotl Hall of Mexico City. He has been listened with great success by personalities like Mstislav Rostropovich (1999) and The Presidents Mikhail Gorbachev, Vladimir Putin and Gerhard Schreder during the political forum “Petersburg Dialog” in Weimar, 2002.

As orchestra player Vladimir has developed like Principal Cello of Neuhardenberg Summer Academy (Germany, 2002) where he took part in orchestral master-class with Saulus Sondeckis and Ksistow Penderecki. Principal Cello of National Youth Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia (2003), Principal Cello of State Academic Symphony Orchestra of Saint Petersburg Capella (2004). Since 2005 is member of Mexico City Quartet. Since 2008 Guest Principal Cello of New England Symphonic Ensemble.

In 2006 Sagaido recorded trios by Ponce, Rachmaninov and Shostakovich for Urtext Digital Classics. The 2008 concert season include different appears at Carnegie Hall in New York with New England Symphonic Ensemble, Concerts in Los Angeles, Washington DC and Californian tour performing The Rococo Variations and Haydn concerto with New England Symphonic Ensemble. New recording of cello works by Paganini, Weber, Debussy and Bartok. Also Mexican premiere of Prokofiev´s Symphony-Concerto with San Luis Potosi Symphony Orchestra, Cycle´s of Bach´s Six cello suites, Six Ages of cello music, Vivaldi Nine cello sonatas in Viva Vivaldi International Festival, Tours in Russia, Germany, Switzerland, Mexico and Central America.

At the moment Mr. Sagaido resides in Mexico City and temporary in Moscow and Saint Petersburg.
